Mega Drive classics coming to Steam
Sega have just announced their intention to re-release a raft of Mega Drive classics on PC through various digital distribution platforms including Steam. The first batch of titles expected to hit online stores include fan favourites such as Golden Axe, Ecco The Dolphin, Comix Zone and Vector Man and each will be available from £1.99. The full list of titles is still yet to be announced, but it’s probably worth keeping an eye on Sega’s main site for the full reveal which is likely to take place soon.
“It’s exciting to be able to offer these classic games to a new audience” said Nick Pili, Network Business Director at SEGA Europe. “Delivered via our digital partners, every PC owner can now enjoy these timeless masterpieces whenever they want!”
The first set of classics will touch down on Steam and other digital distribution networks on June 1st. What ye olde Mega Drive game would you like to see released next? Let us know on the TPCG forum…
